A dog with a medical condition will be trained to walk on a leash at this year’s London Book Festival.

The dogs, named Fiona, from the Queen’s Own rescue centre in Nottingham and Oscar, from King Edward VIII College in Portsmouth, will be given the chance to work by experts at the venue.

It will be the first time that dogs are being trained for work with animals by the Queen’s dog rescue scheme (Picture: QPD)

The canine modeler – known locally as ‘Q’ – is the author of a book called Qantas’ Dogs, and she said: ‘Qantas has given me a chance to train this dog with an understanding of the world – to train her to be the very best there is.’

The book follows up to a 2008 documentary called Qantas Dogs, written by actress Anne Crozier.

This year’s event is taki구미안마ng place on Friday 9 January and the Queen’s Animal Welfare Trust and the charity Animals UK will be the venue.

The dogs will walk alongside performers from the musical Quee바카라 게임n’s Farm on Saturday 11 January.
